Customize Your Icons

Want to customize your icons? Take a look at this site:

NOTE: These icons only work with folders – and not applications

Now follow these directions:

1. Download a file from the site above. 

2. One click the folder you wish to customize.

3. Click FILE, GET INFO

4. One click the Icon you wish to use.

5. Click FILE, GET INFO

6. Click on the downloaded icon in the top right hand corner of the box and hit EDIT, COPY.

7. Click on  Folder icon in the top left hand corner of the box and hit EDIT, PASTE.

This was kind of hard to explain, so if you have any questions, post a comment.

Catagories

Look on the “Categories” button on the sidebar. Here you may find the subject you are looking for.

Color Invert

Many of you already know this trick. If you would like to invert the color on your computer hit APPLE, ALT, CONTROL, 8. (Make sure you press the 8 on the long number keyboard and not the square number keyboard. To get it back, press it again.

Dock on Top:

Many people want to know how to get the dock on the top of your screen.

1. Open Terminal

2. Type in “defaults write com.apple.Dock orientation top” and press enter.

To get it back:

1. Open up System Preferences and switch it back to the position you had it before. (Left, Bottom, Right)

Hello, I am Elliot and I love Apple. You may know me from my old blog, “applehelpblog”. You can rely on this site for Apple help, hacks, fun, and more. If you have an idea for the site, need help with a problem, or really any thing else Apple related, Please see the “Category” toolbar on the right side of the blog and select “Help/Problems/Ideas” and leave a comment. My old blog was a Blogger Account and I just switched over to WordPress. (As you can see.) WordPress looks a little bit harder to understand, so I may not get the site looking pretty right off the bat.
